From Half Dead & Homeless to a Top 1% Earner. Sitting down to write my story brought on a
crazy mix of emotions. I was nervous, anxious; I didn’t know what would come out.
Used to be homeless living in my birthplace, San Francisco. Lost 50 lbs, quit smoking, renounced my title as the fast food junkie king of the east. Now I’ve co founded an online mattress site where one of its core focuses is to Eliminate homelessness in San Francisco. (we also did 700k in revenue very quickly.) I am also a recent Amazon Bestseller (within the first few hours of launching).
But, why the fear and anxiety? Why is everyone so afraid of what others think of them? Why is judgment and perception the driving force behind everything we do? Why is living with mental illness something we THINK we should be ashamed of? The fact is, a very real stigma exists, and fair or not, there are consequences for sharing that you are dealing with a mental health issue.
I have recently enjoyed Hawaii, London, Bali, Sydney, All over the USA.. at the end of the day, my favorite place is anywhere I can hold my wife/best friend and daughter. I couldn't imagine doing that before with crippling anxiety and panic attacks.
